A note from Rachel:It has long been a dream of mine to share my passion and love for the beauty of art with others. Art has the ability to bring a sense of rest and joy, escape and wonder. A piece of art has the power to express something that words may not adequately capture, and therein lies its power. The beauty of creating and enjoying art is good for my soul, and I pray it is for yours as well. I feel incredibly grateful that you took the time to visit my site and take a look around. Thank you so very much!

About Rachel:
Rachel first realized her love with art during high school, when her art teacher helped her realize her passion to create. It was then that she fell in love with portrait art, focusing her senior work on the theme of "Mother and Child." Rachel attended college at Samford University and received her Bachelor's in Family Studies/Child Life. She spent several years after college in Colorado, where she met her husband Ryan and began working for Compassion International. Her time at Compassion deepened her sense of calling to create art through the beautiful faces of children from all over the world who's lives were transformed by Compassion's ministry. She was given the opportunity to create numerous pieces for sponsors and donors in an effort to evoke awareness and encourage continued investment into the ministry. Capturing the beauty of a person's personality and emotions is an invigorating challenge, and Rachel soon discovered that capturing the beauty of God's creation through landscape paintings was also an extremely compelling undertaking. Her most recent work has been focused around creating abstract landscape paintings to compliment and enhance decorated living spaces. She finds incredible fulfillment in the creative freedom that comes with painting scenes from some of the most beautiful and peaceful parts of creation, and knowing that others can then enjoy these pieces in their favorite spaces. Rachel has had the privilege of creating pieces for clients such as Gebben Interiors, Global Missions Health Conference, Compassion International, Freedom Church, Passion Conference, Birmingham Children's Hospital, and a variety of private individual clients.
Rachel lives near Atlanta, GA. She is married to her wonderful husband, Ryan, and has a sweet little daughter, Emery, as well as a super furry and fun goldendoodle, Simmons.
